Roland (or Rollie as we have come to affectionally call him) came into our care with a front leg that had been seriously deformed through an injury that hadn’t healed well, the best thing for Rollie to live a pain free life was to amputate. Rollie is now a gorgeous tripod boy who is a bundle of joy with personality plus.

As he is still young, he has lots of lovely puppy energy so will be looking for an active family who will take him on lots of walks and adventures. Don’t be fooled, having 3 legs hasn’t slowed him down at all – in fact its sped him up!

Rollie is great with other dogs and people, he thinks that every dog he meets wants to play with him and that every human he meets wants to admire and pat him – so, you need to add in extra time for each outing for all of this extra attention. Everyone that meets Roland falls a little in love with him too – he is such a sweet and smoochy boy.

Roland is looking for a forever family that will continue on the training that he has been learning in foster care to be the best doggie citizen. He would do well in a family with another balanced dog to learn from but that is not essential. We think Roland would be OK with cats after a careful introduction, but he does have a propensity to chase so you would need to keep a close eye on this.

If Rollie sounds like the funny, charming, sweet boy you have been waiting for then apply to adopt him now!

Can't adopt Roland? You can still help.

Although we charge a small adoption fee, this doesn't generally cover the costs of us getting our dogs ready for adoption. Desexing, grooms, vet care, vaccinations, registration, training and variety of other things can go into these dogs. If you'd like to help either on a one off or regular basis we would be grateful for your donation.
