Astra is a sweet girl who is learning all about life, and is ready to find her new home. We asked her foster mum about her and this is what she said:
Her recall and impulse control are getting better. There's less barking at things out of habit and more investigation.
She is getting excited to see certain men now and seems to have decided that most people aren't that scary.
She's learning to swim, though it's slow going
We're going to busier and busier places and still she's able to mind her own beeswax and not rush up to other dogs.
She's met chickens, ducks, cows and horses and has a little bit of prey drive but is able to verbally disengage. Bigger stock is scary though. NO cats for this girl.
Is an angel for her nails and brushing, but not a fan of baths.
So what does Astra need in a new home?
Someone who has a good understanding of dog behaviour and is an experienced dog owner. She need someone who is confident and able to continue her current training so she can keep learning to be the best dog!
An active home to keep up with her energy levels. She is going to be a big dog, and is high energy. Lots of adventures and walks and enrichment for this girl!
She would do great in a home with another balanced dog.
